Authenticity & traceability

How Be Frsh sources and prepares its fragrance samples

Be Frsh sells fragrance samples that are hand-decanted from genuine original fragrances. This means the fragrance is transferred from the original perfume bottle into a smaller Be Frsh sample vial, so that customers can try the scent before buying a full-size bottle.

For us, authenticity is the foundation of everything. We do not sell dupes, copies or imitations. Every fragrance sample is prepared from the original product, and each sample vial is clearly labelled with the fragrance name and size.

Please note that Be Frsh fragrance samples are not official brand samples unless explicitly stated in the product details. The fragrances are genuine originals that have been repackaged into Be Frsh’s own sample vials.

Sourcing

Where are the fragrances sourced?

Be Frsh sources its original fragrances from trusted suppliers, such as:

  • official authorised retailers
  • established cosmetics and fragrance operators
  • the brands’ own boutiques or online stores
  • selected suppliers within the EU
  • other verifiable commercial sources whose background can be confirmed

We do not source products from unclear origins, open marketplaces, or operators whose provenance cannot be reliably assessed.

Traceability

Chain of custody — how is provenance verified?

For each original perfume bottle that enters our range, the following details can be recorded for internal tracking:

  1. The fragrance name and brand
  2. The purchase date
  3. The place of purchase or supplier
  4. The order number or receipt
  5. The bottle size
  6. The lot or batch code, if available
  7. The date of arrival at Be Frsh
  8. A verification note before the product is taken into use
  9. The date the bottle was opened for decanting
  10. An optional photo of the original bottle, packaging and batch code

This allows us, when needed, to verify where a particular fragrance batch originated and when it was taken into use.

Quality control

Authenticity check before decanting

Before a fragrance is taken into use, we check the product’s external identifiers and overall quality. This check may include, for example:

  • reviewing the overall appearance of the packaging and bottle
  • checking the batch code, if it is visible on the product
  • assessing the quality of the bottle, cap, atomiser and label
  • checking the colour and consistency of the fragrance
  • comparing the scent with our previous experience of the product, if the same fragrance has been in our range before
  • keeping the purchase receipt or order confirmation for internal tracking

If any doubt arises about a product’s authenticity or condition, it is not taken into our range.

The process

The decanting process, step by step

We hand-decant fragrances in daily batches, so every sample is fresh. The process is carried out with care, so that every customer receives a clean, ready-to-use and reliable sample.

  1. 1

    Preparing the workspace

Before decanting, the workspace is cleaned and prepared. The necessary sample vials, spray fitments, labels and packaging materials are laid out and ready.

  2. 2

    Inspecting the sample vials

The sample vials are inspected before use. We use Be Frsh’s own sample vials and spray fitments, chosen for their practicality, appearance and ease of use.

  3. 3

    Labelling

Every sample vial is clearly labelled. The label shows the fragrance name and size, so the customer can easily identify the product.

  4. 4

Selecting the fragrance and checking the original bottle

The fragrance to be decanted is selected according to the order or stock need. Before use, we confirm that the original bottle matches the product and that its markings are in order.

  5. 5

    Decanting

The fragrance is carefully transferred from the original bottle into a Be Frsh sample vial. The fill volume is determined by the ordered size — for example 2 ml, 3 ml, 5 ml or 10 ml. The aim is a clean, consistent and reliable result for every sample.

  6. 6

    Fitting and checking the sprayer

The sample vial is sealed with a spray fitment. The vial is then checked for leaks, appearance and proper function.

  7. 7

    Packaging

The sample is packed protectively for delivery. The goal is for the customer to receive the product clean, intact and ready to use.
